The New England Masters SCM Virtual Challenge is a composite virtual competition between several short course meters masters championship meets that took place between October 1, 2002 and December 31, 2002. Results were compiled using Hy-Tek Team Manager software, and points were assigned using a Microsoft Excel extract of the data.

All competitors participating in a particular meet were assigned to a virtual "team" for scoring purposes. Any swimmer that participated in more than one meet was assigned points for the performances in each meet for each virtual team.

We acknowledge the following limitations in these results and scores:

Results from the Pacific Masters SCM Championship and the Dixie Zone SCM Championship were submitted in SDIF format, but the files could not be properly loaded after trying multiple software packages (Hy-Tek Team Manager, EZ-Meet Manager)
Only individual events are listed and scored. Hy-Tek Team Manager did not gracefully handle importing masters relays from the various meets.
Ties are not handled properly. If two swimmers tie for second, both receive 15 points, instead of properly each receiving 14.5 points. (No points are assigned for third place, correctly.)
