Pool
Harvard University Blodgett Pool, site of several EISL championships and the 57th NCAA Swimming and Diving Championship. 50
meter by 25 yard pool. Electronic timing and scoreboard. Deck space for 500 swimmers, coaches, officials, and spectator
seating for 1200.
Directions
From the North take 1-93 to Storrow Drive Exit. Proceed west for about 5 miles. Exit at Harvard Square/N.Harvard St. At top of
exit, turn left on N. Harvard Street. Approx ¼ mile on your right will be Blodgett Pool. Turn left into the Harvard Business
School Lot entrance which is the second gate on the left just past the pool. From the South/West. Take MA Pike (I-90) to
Allston/Cambridge Exit (Westbound Exit 20, Eastbound Exit 18) bear right at fork afterward tool booth towards Cambridge. At
second light (Doubletree Suites will be on your right) proceed to a left turn on to Storrow Drive Westbound for about 1 mile.
Exit at Harvard Square/N Harvard Street and follow directions for North.

Eligibility
2001 registered United States Masters Swimming (USMS) swimmers 19 years or older as of July 25, 2001. Also, 2001 registered
masters swimmers from other countries.
Rules
2001 USMS rules apply. Note that for purposes of this competition your age as of December 31, 2001 shall be determine your age
group for this meet.
Entries
Maximum of five individual events. Entries must be received by July 25th or postmarked by July 20th. You must include a seed
time for each entered event. Enclose a stamped and self-addressed envelope if you want confirmation of your entry. Mail your
entry form, copy of your 2001 USMS card, and check payable to NEMSC to:

Heat Seeding
All events will be seeded slow to fast, men and women combined in seven lanes, allowing one lane for continuous
warn-up/swim-down. All individual events will be pre-seeded except for the 400 Free and 400 IM which will be deck seeded.
Swimmers must confirm their entries for the 400 Free and 400 IM by 8:45 a.m. Positive check-in must be done in person.
Swimmers may designate a person to check them in for the day's events if their travel plans do not allow for personal
appearance by the above deadlines.
Awards
Medals for 1st through 3rd places and ribbons for 4th to 8th place by age group.
Hotels
The Double Tree Suites is 1.5 miles from the pool. They have a shuttle to Harvard Square. (617-738-0090 about $180 for up to
three people). The Suisse Chalet is 4 miles from the pool and a 10 minute walk to the T that runs to Harvard Square
(617-661-7800 about $100 for three people).
Relays
Relay swimmers must be individually entered in the meet. Relays will be deck entered at the meet. Relay entry forms will be
provided and must be submitted. Swimmers must confirm their entries for the 400 Medley Relay by 8:45 AM and for the 400 Free
Relay before the first heat of the 200 free. Relays will be organized according to the aggregate age of relay members: 76-99,
100-119, 120-159, 160-199, …(40 year increments as required).
BBQ/Social
The Cambridge Masters Swim Club will host a post meet BBQ shortly after the last individual event. All meet participants are
invited to the BBQ at no charge but are encouraged to contribute to the food and/or soft drinks.
