It was a mostly cloudy and drizzly day on Boston Harbor on the day of the swim. The water temperature was mild, hovering between 63 and 64 degrees for most of the swim. The poor general weather also meant there were very few recreational boats on the harbor, which reduced wave action. The weather remained constant until approximately 11:30am when the skies opened up, and a downpour commenced.
